Absolutely best place to rent bikes! The quality and comfort of the bikes are outstanding. They make sure the bike suits you best. They helped us with which routes to take and spots to observe. Even when we needed help in our bike route, we gave them a call and they were quick to assist us. Each time we come to San Francisco, this is our go to spot because they are consistent in prices and overall customer service is phenomenal. Also the location is right in the middle of San Francisco! With COVID, they wiped down the bikes after each use and they were very clean!

We had a great experience with San Francisco Bicycle Rentals! I reserved our bikes online, they were ready for us when we got to the shop, they were very clean/well maintained, and the staff were helpful. We had a wonderful day biking across the Golden Gate Bridge, up to awesome viewpoints, and through Sausalito. Put this activity on your SF bucket list!
The staff were AMAZING. They were so friendly and helpful
Thrilled we chose them!!!!
Staff is super friendly, set my family up with 4 e-bikes, very helpful with routes, advice for eating, ferry schedule (we ended up biking back instead of taking the ferry). We stopped by to chat the day before our rental, the staff told us that if we book online we will receive a discount. After booking online that night, we showed up at the Fisherman’s wharf location and were on our bikes within 10 minutes of arriving. The e-bikes were super high quality. Our first time on them, being mountain bikers we were skeptical but had a blast. Biked from the Wharf across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito for lunch, then back. Thanks for a great day!

I loved this place – like loved, loved and loved! There was no hustle or anything – nada. We biked from Fisherman’s Wharf to Sausalito (and back) for $20 bucks per person. That was a total steal. If we kept the bike for 3 hours or longer, it would have been only $29 bucks per person with the local resident or student discount. Very new to brand new bikes that were totally awesome to ride. We had little to no issues going downhill or uphill as the breaks, tires and handlebars were top-notch. The bikes also looked a lot better than the other competitors too. If you’re debating about renting a bike to bike the Golden Gate bridge, just do it. As a SF local, it was totally worth the price and experience. If you’re debating about renting at this place – well, just do it anyways! I price checked a few other places and San Francisco Bicycle Rentals was a good deal. You’re also able to ride the ferry back from Sausalito too for $14.25 one way, which is an awesome experience in itself too. My party didn’t since we’ve done the ferry multiple times. Totally recommend. Do it.
